On June 25, 2025 Chairman of the FPRI Board Bolat Nurgaliyev held an online meeting with Gulshan Sachdeva, Chief Coordinator of the Global South Center of Excellence (DAKSHIN), Professor at the School of International Studies at J.Nehru University (New Delhi). Since its foundation in November 2023, following the 1st Voice of Global South Summit, DAKSHIN has established links with 149 leading think tanks in 88 countries in order to create a partnership network on Global South issues. According to the commitment of the Foreign Ministers of of Central Asian countries and India reached at the 4th meeting of the India – Central Asia Dialogue (New Delhi, June 6, 2025), the parties should work closely with the DAKSHIN Center to exchange experience in various fields.
B.Nurgaliyev, having familiarized the interlocutor with main directions of the FPRI's activities, noted promising areas of cooperation with the DAKSHIN Center, including issues of regional security and stability, ensuring sustainable development and interconnectivity of Central Asia and South Asia, involving Afghanistan in the work of regional integration associations, as well as such areas as agriculture, healthcare, green technologies, transit and transport projects and environment protection.
During the online meeting, the sides exchanged views on the situation in the region, prospects for India and Central Asia relations and multifaceted partnership between Kazakhstan and India. An agreement was reached with G.Sachdeva to maintain regular contacts.
