On October 15, 2025 Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev took part in the International Conference «SCO and People's Diplomacy: Prospects for Global Cooperation» within the framework of the 12th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the role of public diplomacy as a tool of «soft power» and strengthening mutual understanding between the countries of Eurasia was discussed. Special attention was paid to the prospects for development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the SCO, the exchange of best practices in the fields of culture, science, education and youth ties, as well as the expansion of partnership between civil society institutions.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Parliament, government agencies and international organizations, the Kazakh and foreign expert community and non-governmental organizations.
