On October 17, 2026 in Hangzhou (China), Deputy Chairman of the FPRI Board Manarbek Kabaziyev participated in the International Symposium «Exploring Central Asia: Innovative Ways and Development of Sino-Central Asian cooperation in the context of digitalization», organized with participation of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. The event brought together representatives of diplomatic corps, scientific research organizations and expert community of China and the Central Asian states.
During the plenary session, M.Kabaziyev made a presentation on the topic «Digital Transformation of Cooperation between China and Central Asia: New Opportunities for Sustainable Development and Regional Interconnectedness».
The presentation discussed prospects for development of the China–Central Asia mechanism, digitalization of Eurasian transport corridors, introduction of artificial intelligence and expansion of scientific and technological partnership. Special attention is paid to the role of Kazakhstan in formation of an open and mutually beneficial model of Eurasian interconnectedness.
As practical directions for further cooperation, representative of the FPRI proposed creation of a permanent expert dialogue «China – Central Asia: Digital development», formation of a joint research network in the field of artificial intelligence and the development of the digital transport corridor «China – Central Asia – Europe».
Participation in the symposium contributed to the promotion of Kazakhstani approaches to regional cooperation and the strengthening of expert relations with scientific and analytical centers in China and Central Asian states.
